Other Matter

Other Matter® is a research-led design studio working at the intersection of material innovation and sustainable futures. The studio explores the aesthetic and ecological potential of renewable, non-petrochemical polymers.

Other Matter acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People of the Eastern Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work, whose cultures are among the oldest living cultures in human history. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded.

Other Matter® is proud to have developed OM Signage Film, a world-first patent-pending innovation in non-petrochemical signage.

Designed for use in exhibitions, retail and events, this innovative application can be repurposed and reused following each application, removing PVC materials from these environments and resulting in a self-sustaining closed-loop system.
